Our products include new standard- and custom-sized pallets, heat-treated pallets, and repaired/remanufactured pallets. We also offer stringer and block pallets and crates. Attention to Sustainability
We give attention to sustainability, working with industry partners committed to reforestation. Also, we support waste reduction and recycling, turning wood waste into animal bedding and firewood, and reusing components in our repaired and remanufactured pallets.
Our Products
The products we offer fit into five categories:
New Custom Pallets
This category includes custom-made pallets fit to client specifications. We also offer new, standard-sized pallets measuring 48x40 inches. Our new custom and standard pallets are durable and hygienic.
Heat-Treated Pallets
These pallets are heat-treated to prevent invasive insect species and are certified for international shipment, meeting standards for wood packaging set by the International Plant Protection Convention.
Repaired/Remanufactured Pallets
By repairing and remanufacturing pallets, we are able to bring sustainability, cost savings, and sturdy, effective products to pallet manufacturing.
Our repaired pallets have been used for shipping, repaired to meet quality standards, and then made available to customers. Our remanufactured pallets combine used components and new lumber.
Stringer and Block Pallets and Crates
We can design and build both stringer and block pallets. Stringer pallets have 2x4 boards called stringers that span the pallet length, while block pallets use cubic block supports between deck boards.
We can also design and build wooden crates for shipping.
Animal Bedding and Firewood
Wood remaining from production processes is ground into a coarse, absorbent material that can be used for animal bedding, and wood cutoffs are made available as firewood. Grinding wood into animal bedding and making cutoffs open for firewood both support sustainability.

Pallet Transportation
Let us coordinate your pallet delivery. We offer pallet transportation on semi-trucks and trailers, and have vans that can handle drop-trailer deliveries.
Through our outside carrier network, delivery service is available in most of the Western states and in other areas.
Application of the Pallet Design System
Our use of the Pallet Design System (PDS) allows customers to benefit from the precision of computer-aided pallet design. The PDS adheres to specifications and helps prevent lumber waste during pallet construction.
Pallet Heat Treatment
We heat treat wooden pallets to meet international shipping requirements presented in the ISPM-15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) by the International Plant Protection Convention. Our heat-treating systems hold around 400 pallets each and use propane or natural gas in the heat-treatment process.
Our Growth and Experience
Challenger Pallet & Supply has provided clients with wooden pallets for over 50 years. In 1969, we began by providing shipping and packaging pallets for the agricultural industry in Southeast Idaho. Our business grew as we provided agricultural businesses with solutions for shipping their products to other parts of the country.
Today, we are the largest pallet producer in the Intermountain West. Our home office and a manufacturing facility are located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. In 1992, we opened a Utah location, solidifying our presence on the Wasatch Front and increasing our ability to service customers in the Salt Lake City area. In 2005, Three Forks, Montana, became home to our third site, allowing for improved response times for customers in the Big Sky region.
